Maxim Kogan has a broad multidisciplinary practice that includes extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, finance, corporate governance, and cross-border transactions. Mr. Kogan regularly counsels founders and boards of directors on corporate governance, and matters affecting corporate policy and strategy.
Mr. Kogan previously practiced law with Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, a premier global law firm in New York and London, where he represented domestic and international companies, boards and financial advisors in connection with a broad range of strategic transactions in the technology, finance, entertainment and life sciences industries, including public and private mergers, acquisitions, tender offers, investments, joint ventures, stock and asset acquisitions and divestitures. Mr. Kogan also served as legal counsel at the Global Fund, where he structured, drafted and negotiated agreements with governments, UN agencies, NGOs, development banks, private-sector partners and foundations, pharmaceutical companies, and others.
Mr. Kogan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and International Relations, a Master of Science degree in Comparative Politics from London School of Economics and Political Science. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Cornell Law School.
